As we journey together with Jesus, our goal is to become more like Him. We do this by encouraging one another in monthly meetings. The overall goal set by the Elders is to help each member of the congregation to:
Meet new people and be an active part of the congregation
Understand their role in the Body
Help each of us to be more faithful in walking in the Light
Increase our participation in service to others
Be more willing to reach out and share the Gospel
The model of community that we see in Jesus and his disciples reveals to us that healthy Life Groups function on two levels – fellowship and mission. Our Life Groups are divided into geographical areas by zip code in order to make activities more convenient. Each group has two families as co-leaders. The responsibilities of the group include, but are not limited to:
Having monthly social, study, or devotional meetings
Follow-up with visitors and non-members
Visits to hospitals, nursing homes, shut-ins, and bereaved
Sitting with the ill during hospitalization
Encouraging members who are not faithful in attendance
We hope to maintain a healthy, balanced pattern of inward and outward focus as we connect and together grow spiritually stronger.
“Á new command I give you; Love one another. As I have loved you, you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34
