At Camelback Church of Christ, we strive to be faithful to God's teaching alone (the Bible), to be liberal in love and conservative in our obedience to the will of God, as revealed in scripture. We also strive to lead as many as we can to become Christians only, through teaching the gospel (the good news) of Christ and helping each person understand God's instructions on how to obey the gospel.
God's Plan of Salvation:
We must Hear how our sin separates us from God (Romans 6:23),
The Good News (the gospel of God's grace (1 Corinthians 15:14),
God's love in sending His Son to die in our place (Ephesians 1:7).
Then, having an obedient faith in God's promises, we must Believe in Jesus (John 8:24)
Repent and turn away from sin (Luke 13:3-5)
Confess His name before men (Matthew 10:32-33)
We must be buried with Christ in Baptism for the purpose of having our sins forgiven
(Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38-41).
We arise from the waters of baptism, receiving the gift of God's Spirit (Acts 2:38), and being
added by the Lord to His church (Acts 2:47)
We then walk in a new life (Romans 6:1-7), loving God and our neighbor (1 John 5:1-3),
and remaining faithful until death (Revelation 2:10).
